  Butterfly’s Monologue

Impressive Monarch Butterfly Sitting on a Green Leave and Showing Her Magnificent Bright Orange Wings

People laugh at me, when they hear my name, so I changed my name to Mariposa*

I am small and humble, but I can travel from Canada down to Mexico that far

Well, The Almighty God gave me strong wings that can resist rain and strong winds

Yes, I also have a compass which shows me my destination which I want to reach.

I feel sorry for you Humans who are given so much more than my modest low class

Most of you abuse your beautiful figure and do not fly to higher realms of mind & heart

You care only to have enough and live in excess, forgetting about the other world

But, I watch everything from above & I feel ashamed to see you shoot arrows everywhere.

I don’t have the authority to taunt you & cherish visiting your Garden with its pretty flowers

But there’s another Garden in each one of you where feelings & kindness have more  power

I see things from above and cannot ignore people’s sufferings, fights and battles

It’s high time to change your ways and learn to live in peace and end that nightmare.

            *Mariposa is butterfly in Spanish
